An obese person had a surgical operation to remove part of illeum. Explain why this methof may lead to a significant reduction of his body weight several months after the operation. (This is the situation)

Pernicious anemia. Vitamin B12 is absorbed in the terminal ileum. Your body has B12 stored up, so symptoms won’t appear until these stores are used up. B12 deficiency may cause anorexia and subsequent weight loss, although I think those are relatively late symptoms (not sure about that).

I need some tips for losing weight and building muscle?

I could use some tips and websites if possible for building muscle and lossing weight.

I want to be able to do these excersises at home (of course I will do some cadio outside of the house) but I want to do be able to do these exciersises without weights and machines.

I know some of the Navy Seal workouts are this way.

Without weights you can only build your body to a certain degree. Maybe that’s good enough for you, so then you can do bodyweight exercises. Losing weight comes from dieting and cardio.

Any internist or general practicioner should be able to give good advice on a weight loss regiment, includind diet advice and an exercise program suitible for your specific condition.

And, like the other person answering mentioned, almost anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, but, through your regular doctor, you should be able to find one, locally, that can advise you about foods and cooking techniques that fit with YOUR lifestyle and geographic location. It wouldn’t do you much good to recommend certain foods if they are not available in your part of the world.

The great thing about living in India is their long tradition of cooking with wonderful veggie dishes in savory sauces. I’m not a vegetarian but, I DO love my veggies! And Indian cuisine offers some of the tastiest food I have ever known.

My husband has hired a personal trainer will he lose weight quick?

My husband is a big man..6foot 5 and 21 stone..he’s not fat but very heavy with a bit of a stomach 42inches.

He needs to lose 4 stone to take him to 17stone.

His legs are all muscle so he won’t be losing weight from them.

Now he has hired a personal trainer how long will it take him to lose 4 stone?

That really depends on how determined your husband is. The personal trainer can help him with exercise, but he won’t be there when he is eating morning, noon and night.

Losing weight I think is about 70% diet. Exercise will help acelerate the weight loss. The harder your husband works the more calories he will burn.

I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months. I did not hire a personal trainer. I ate a healthy sensible diet and did join a gym.

Anyone can lose weight. Just as anyone can put

What percentage of women gain weight on birth control?

I’m on the skinny side and am very self conscious about my weight. I don’t have any disorders or anything, but I don’t want to gain weight at all. That is a fear of mine. I have very painful periods and need to take birth control to help with the cramps. I’m just scared I’m going to gain 15 pounds. Sadly, I have small breasts also. I doubt my body will put the fat there though. Wouldn’t it go to the places like the inner thighs where all my excess fat goes already?

Most women gain a little weight but it usually starts to go away after being on the pill for awhile. I didn’t gain any weight though and I have been on the pill for 3 years. And sometimes it does go straight to your boobs, which is never a bad thing! LOL. I wouldn’t worry. I love being

i am 20 years old, 5.4” and my weight is 75 kgs, i had joined the gym also, but in this process i am getting lots of stretch marks, what should i do now…. how can i get rid of it..?? and also how can i avoid getting it?????????

use some kind of pure butters….. sal butter, shea butter, cocoa butter, kokum butter- these are all good for scars and preventing stretchmarks…. you can order them online. yahoo (mountain rose herbs) they sale all these products raw… you can melt them down yourself… this ensures its pure and all natural… most of their products are all organic…..
some of the above butters i mentioned are somewhat hard, so you can mix it with olive oil and then melt it and it will become more managable.

Can protein powder drinks and weight gain drinks be dangerous for your body?

My uncle said that after having taken either protein powder or weight gain (I can’t remember which) his heart rate was different or something like that. Are there any known side effects to protein powder or weight gain?
