Have you ever gained weight on birth control and then lost it soon afterwards?
I am having trouble losing the weight I put on while I was on the Nuvaring. I am now on Loestrin24Fe, and so far, I haven’t been experiencing such intense cravings. Have you ever been able to lose the weight you put on with birth control while you were still on it??
I don’t know if this sounds stupid or not, but if I drank a lot of water, would that help with fluid retention?
I gained but it took me years to lose it after stopping, but many fit women are on BC. The dreadful water retention went away almost immediately after I stopped taking the pill. The ring is pretty low dose, so if you work out and your body adjusts to the hormones and stops giving you severe cravings, you should be able to lose it.
How likely are you to gain weight on birth control if you’re already a curvy girl?
I’m thinking about going on birth control for a few reasons, but I’m concerned that I will gain weight. I know it sounds silly, but if my boobs get any bigger I’m going to be so unhappy
. I’m 5′4" and 130 right now, I have hips, a butt and boobs.
When I was first put on birth control I gained about 25 pounds in the first few months, the doctor finally put me on the lowest dosage of birth control there is. You might want to ask for that!
Which is better for weight control, juice or diet soda?
One of those infomercials, pushing a juicer machine claimed that you gain more weight with diet soda than with juice. Can this be true?
While neither is the best choice for weight control, the juicer does have some nutritional value. The artificial sweeteners in diet sodas, and sugar itself, create a sense of hunger! Additionally, the soda will dehydrate you.
The absolute best thing to drink is water. Natural, unsweetened juices are ok, however you loose the biggest benefits of the fruits or vegetables by drinking the juice rather than eating the food. The food provides you with greater nutrients.

How long does it take to loose weight from birth control?
Last September I started birth control(YAZ) and by the end of November, I gain 15 pounds. In August, I stopped taking birth control because I gained 5 more pounds. I read that after you get off the pill, you loose weight. I was wondering how long it takes to loose the weight because I have been off for 5 months. Thank you!!
At 5 months off the pill you would already have lost the weight if it was going to happen…I think you are actively going to have to do something if you want to lose it…its easy to gain weight but hard to lose it and you rarely lose weight without trying even if you did put it on because of a medication and not overeating.
I also put on weight from a medication…it suks.

I am 17 weeks pregnant, but the size of a house. How can I control my weight gain for the remaining half?
17 weeks and looking like I am ready to deliver has been very difficult and traumatic for me. I want to know if there are ways to control the second half of my pregnancy weight gain? My doctor suggests a thirty pound weight gain, I am at a little over a third of that gain already and the baby hasn’t really even started to grow yet! Help me please!
Make HEALTHY choices. And realize that you shouldn’t be eating enough for two people. Most women only need relatively few extra calories.
Check with your dr about exercise. You should at the very least be walking & stretching every day (& doing your Kegals too!) All of this will help you have a easier labor also.

Author, GOOD CALORIES, BAD CALORIES: Challenging the Conventional Wisdom on Diet, weight control and Disease
Are you eating less but not losing weight? Join the crowd. Gary Taubes, award-winning journalist for SCIENCE MAGAZINE, presents convincing evidence debunking this notion. He flies in the face of 50 years of nutritional theory regarding weight loss. In his book, GOOD CALORIES, BAD CALORIES, he argues persuasively that the solution to avoiding getting fat is not the number of calories eaten, but the kind. Should you doubt his hypothesis , look around at the escalating obesity epidemic. But find out for yourself. Listen to him on Getting Your Money’s Worth with Judith West.

How can I convince my teenage daughter that bulimia is NOT a good weight control strategy?
She’s thirteen, now, and it’s not my place to run her life. She ought to be able to make her own choices about how she’s going to live. BUT, it just seems kind of wasteful to spend all that money on food that she’s not going to fully digest…
Introduce her to laxative abuse and vigorous exercises. That’s how I’ve stayed 120 lbs since I was fourteen years old. Even through my six pregnancies I only gained 5 lbs.
Protein Shake with Fibre Diet – Can be used for weight control or diet
Here i am again… a guy at work said what was i drinking… i showed him and took him in some protein shake stuff and ground flaxseed. He said he was starting a diet, the diet consisted of two shakes a day and fibre…. i said you’re paying $3.99 per serve, mine costs about $1.20 per serve. Who’s making money now?
I’ve had protein shakes for years (more than 10) and they are nutritious. The added fibre, as you will hear, has been researched and i learn by what i read. don’t take things for granted. don’t get ripped off when you can do the same thing yourself.
Please also don’t believe everything you see and hear on Youtube from unqualified people saying flaxseed is no good.
Good luck people
PS, i’m a marathon runner and run 70+ k a week (not a professional) so this keeps me going and i have
