Is the Lighter Life weight management program really safe in long term? Does it really work?

By admin On March 11, 2010 1 COMMENT

I have been on LL for one week and lost 10lbs already. I think there is a slight weight increase when you go back to eating normally however you should be educated enough through counselling and dietitian advice to make sensible choices. Good luck – its not easy but it is worth it! x

By admin On March 10, 2010 3 COMMENTs

Recently I reduced 15 kg’s thru dieting and execrcising? Now i wanna maintain this weight and looking for weight mgmt programme which will help me maintain it plzz help.

Diet and exercise got the weight off.
Diet and exercise will keep it off.

You don’t need to follow the diet and exercise as religiously as you did before, but staying in the habit will prevent yo-yo-ing.

It’s safe to have that cookie now – just not the entire batch.

My weight loss management strategies seem futile, help?

By admin On March 9, 2010 4 COMMENTs

I engage in physical activity fairly regularly, but recently over the past few weeks a bought I new scale and it the readings increase marginally every week (I check once per week). This is making all my efforts to manage my weight loss futile.I restrict my calories as much as possible. And im becoming increasingly nervous about eating. Is it showing an increase due to an increase in muscle mass? Last week the scale indicated .8 pound less than this week? Does this mean ive consumed .8*3500 calories over my normal body expenditure? This hardly seems likely.

I’m not sure about the conversion (pounds to kilograms) but I have read many times that water weight can make over a kilogram difference, so it does not necessarily mean that you have picked up weight, maybe you are just drinking more water.

Give up on checking the scale so often.. the obsession will drive you

Hi there,

I am sorry you are so confused, but know that you are not alone. I have worked in the pet industry my entire adult life (let’s leave it at that and not reveal my age) and i have never seen such a mess! Here are the facts according to the FDA right now:

There are two products contaminated with melamine.
The first is the wheat gluten that we are all familiar with now. During this recall some Nutro Natural Choice WET products were recalled. www.menufoods.com maintains links to information on this

what’s the best weight management food for cats?

By admin On March 3, 2010 3 COMMENTs

there are a lot of natural foods for cats and some are very
expensive
I fed my cats Purina or other main brands but when they were
kittens I also trained them to eat a little bit of chicken soup
every week and table meat scraps so they were conditioned
to eat those if let’s say I got sick and couldn’t go to the store,
etc. really you should talk w knowledgeable people in Petco or
PetSmart or even better the cat’s vet
